Why Onomea
Onomea was founded on the principles of sustainability, environmentalism,
and diversified agriculture. Our management team has extensive experience in
the environmental science and horticultural industries. Our headquarters are
in Pomfret Center, Connecticut, with operations primarily run from Hilo, Hawaii.
Our affiliate company L’orchidea is a leading exporter of potted orchids from
the Big Island of Hawaii. With a strong background in the environment and sustainability
we have engineered our business to be green and efficient at all levels. Our
mission is to improve the indoor environment through the use of plants, and to
do so in the most environmentally sustainable methods possible.
Brian MacKenzie, President
Brian is focused on driving the company's strategy, vision and growth. Brian was the founder and CEO of IEM/Sealand Corporation a national environmental consulting and engineering firm. Prior to its sale to Thermo Electron, Inc, IEM completed over $100M in contracts primarily for the EPA. Brian also founded America Off Road (an adventure company) and OneRez (a socially responsible travel services firm). Brian holds a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Massachusetts. He also attended the University of Alaska, Fairbanks and the University of Hawaii, Hilo.
Lilian Kiswaga, Manager Corporate Accounts
Lilian manages the Onomea Corporate Accounts Program and is responsible for the establishment of new accounts, quality control and customer satisfaction. Lilian holds a BA in Psychology from New Jersey State University.
